Proposed skate board park at Brocks Hill Country Park

We have recently completed a period of consultation with local residents and stakeholders over proposals to build a skate board park within Brocks Hill Country Park.The consultation period ended on 9 November 2009.

 

The results were reported to Residents' Services Committee on 12 January 2010. In light of the results Elected Members agreed that the skate board facility will not be installed at Brocks Hill Country Park. It was also agreed that, whilst there is a clear commitment to provide facilities for young people, no further work will be undertaken on provision of a skate board facility in Oadby unless a site is brought forward that can demonstrate significant local support.
