Methods of paying your Building Regulations Charges
Cash, cheque, debit or credit cards
Pay by cash, cheque or debit card in person when depositing your application at the Council Offices,
Station Road, Wigston, which are open:
8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday to Thursday and
8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Fridays.
Cheques can also be posted at any time along with your application in the our letterbox next to our main entrance.
Cheque
You may also pay by cheque via the post or by leaving it at the Oadby Helping Hands office along with your application. Please make cheques payable to Oadby and Wigston Borough Council Where the payment is for an outstanding amount or inspection fee please include your application reference number and/or invoice number on the back.
Debit card
Payment by debit card can also be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by telephoning Leicester (0116) 257 2850.
Credit Card
Payment by credit cards are accepted, however a 2 percent administrative charge is payable. Credit card payments can also be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by telephoning Leicester (0116) 257 2850.
Postal order
Pay by postal order at the Council Offices or Oadby Helping Hands office, please make the postal order payable to Oadby and Wigston Borough Council and include your details on the back. Unfortunately we are unable to accept cash at the Oadby Helping Hands office.
Internet (Inspection Fees Only)
Pay over the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by accessing the our online payment facility|. For further details visit our online payment options page.
Electronic banking (Inspection Fees Only)
If you wish to pay using your own bank's electronic internet payment facilities the Council's bank details are: Nat West Bank, sort code 54-21-50, account number 13754408. Please ensure that you quote the Council's bank details together with your invoice number with all payments.
Payment slip at the Post Office (Inspection Fees Only)
Pay at a Post Office using a Trans Cash payment slip available from the Post Office and quoting Giro Bank account number 00 157 0315. Please make sure that you quote your name, address and invoice number.with all payments otherwise your payment may go astray. The Post Office will make a charge for this service and you should allow 10 days for your payment to reach the Council.
